Continuing our NewsGen Ten series, today we learn a little more about Carolyn Mulreed!

  1. If you had to be trapped in a TV show for a month, which would you choose? Hollywood Game Night – I love playing games.  I will often make up my own games.
  1. What are you reading these days? I am reading I Must Say: My Life as a Humble Comedy Legend by Martin Short.  He’s hysterical and I’ve had quite a few teary eyed laughs.  I’m also reading All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr.  Beautifully written novel about a blind girl who lives in Paris just before the Nazi invasion.
  1. Fill in the blank: If you really knew me, you’d know that although I love to sing, I ALWAYS get the lyrics wrong.
  1. What is the habit you are proudest of breaking? Or what habit do you want to break? I’m not sure if I’m “proud”, but I sure am happy I quit smoking 7 years ago.  I am the worst ex-smoker.
  1. What is your heritage? Irish and Scottish.
  1. What kind of impact do you believe you have on people? I believe I am very approachable.  People feel comfortable striking up a conversation with me.  No matter what age – little babies to senior citizens.
  1. What’s the strangest talent you have? I can pick big things and small things up with my toes.
  1. What is the best compliment you have ever received? “You’re just like your mother.” My mom was funny, loving and all around great mom.
  1. Over the course of your life, how many cities have you lived in and which was your favorite? I have lived in 4 cities/towns and I would say my hometown would be my favorite. It was great place to grow up and I’ve got lots of great memories.
  1. What was the best meal you’ve ever eaten? Were you at a restaurant or at someone’s house? This was a hard one.  I LOVE food and I’ve had some great meals throughout my life.  I would say anything made by my brother.   It’s fun to help him prep and the final product is always tasty.
